RustGuard is a waterborne anti-corrosive primer developed for application to steel shipping containers prior to top coating. RustGuard is free from strong solvents, extremely fast drying, positive cure at low temperatures and virtually odourless. Product features: RustGuard is an effective anti-corrosion primer for refinishing of rusted steel shipping containers and repaired steel sections. Virtually odourless and free of strong solvents. Low VOC at less than 1gm/litre. Dries quickly in adverse environmental conditions. Film forms at low temperature, shower proof quickly Typical Areas of Use: A high performance waterborne primer for priming mild steel offering substantial health & safety, environmental and performance benefits Film properties: Heat resistance – 80 °C maximum Water resistance – excellent Chemical resistance: Good resistance to household cleaners - avoid acids and alcohols Solvent resistance: Good - strong solvents may soften the film during prolonged exposure
