Returns Policy

At Versatile Products, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you're not happy with your order please contact orders@versatileproducts.co.nz.

Eligibility for Returns - You may return most products within 30 days of purchase, provided they meet the following conditions:

  • The product is unused and in its original, unopened packaging.
  • The product is in resalable condition.
  • The return is accompanied by proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation).

Non-Returnable Items - certain items cannot be returned, including:

  • Opened or used products.
  • Test pots, custom mixed paints, colour-matched products.
  • Special order items 
  • Clearance items or promotional sale items.

Consumer Guarantees Act 1993

If the goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act to provide a remedy.  Please contact us immediately at orders@versatileproducts.co.nz within 7 days of delivery. We will provide instructions for returning the faulty item and endeavour to offer a replacement or refund.

If the goods are supplied and acquired in trade, or for resale, or acquired for supply to another person in trade, then in such circumstances the parties agree that the provision of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 do not apply.  

 

Return Process - To initiate a return:

  • Contact our Customer Service team at orders@versatileproducts.co.nz within 30 days of receiving your order.  Provide your order number and details of the items you wish to return.
  • Once your return request is approved, we will send you a return shipping label (if applicable). Please securely pack the items in their original packaging.
  • Once we receive your returned items, we will inspect them to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria.
  • If your return is approved, you will receive a refund to your original payment method (excluding delivery charges) within 10 working days.  If you wish to exchange an item, please indicate your request when making contact. Exchanges are subject to product availability.

Return Shipping Costs - If the return is due to a mistake on our part (e.g., defective product, incorrect order), we will cover the cost of return shipping.  If you are returning an item for other reasons (e.g., change of mind), you will be responsible for the return shipping costs.

Restocking Fee - A restocking fee may apply for non stocked items, or bulk orders, at our discretion.

 

Liability of Versatile Products

Versatile Products is not responsible for any variation in the shade of mixed paint or damages resulting from such variation. It is the buyer’s responsibility to test the product for compatibility, and colour match on a small inconspicuous area. Versatile is not liable for damages arising from the misuse of goods or failure to follow manufacturer instructions.

This clause applies only where the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply. Versatile Product's liability for any claims related to loss, injury, costs, or damage—whether direct, indirect, or consequential—arising from the supply, delivery, or failure to supply goods, or any advice or service provided, is limited to the replacement of the goods supplied or the supply of the equivalent goods; or the payment of the cost of replacing the goods or of acquiring equivalent goods; at the option of Versatile.
