Bond’n Block is an unique all purpose oil-based stain blocking primer & sealer which can e used for inside and outside applications. Bond’n Block not only blocks stains but bonds to most surfaces and cleans up in water. Bond’n Block is an bonding primer designed to stick to surfaces normal primers can not. It will bond to non-porous surfaces creating a sound base for top coats, e.g. Gloss paint, formica, PVC pipe & guttering, tempered hardboard etc. Bond’n Block contains chalk binding resins to promote adhesion to moderately chalked previously painted surfaces. Will Block and cover: Fire Damage, Fly dirt, stains, Smoke stains, Nicotine stains, Crayon, Lipstick,Tannin stains, Knots, Water stains, Pen & Pencil, Pet stains, Ashphalt & tar, Rust stains,Dark Colours Also Good for: Blocking: Pet Odours & other Odours, For under wallpaper ,For people with allergies & asthma or breathing issues DIRECTIONS: Surface preparation: Surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free of dust, dirt, oil ,loose rust, excessive chalky material, grime, grease, wax, mould, wallpaper adhesive or any contamination. If unsure clean surface with a de-greasing cleaner. Make sure surface is sound (i.e: no loose or peeling paint),lightly sand any paint film edges Interior use: Bond’n Block is ideal for sealing porous surfaces like paper faced wallboard, plaster, ceiling tiles & plywood or MDF. Bond’n Block is ideal for covering stains and is perfect as a sealer, adhesion promoter or bond-coat when painting existing painted surfaces. Bond’n Block will seal the wall (prior to wallpapering) in one coat providing an excellent base for painting or wallpapering .Once sealed the wall will be protected from moisture and mould coming through the substrate and once sized will provide extra slip when hanging paper. Exterior Use: Bond’n Block is non grain raising so reduces requirement for sanding Bond’n Block contains chalk-binding resins so it will stick it to moderately chalky surfaces such as powdercoated aluminium & wooden weatherboards.Bond’n Blockhas high tannin resistance. It is the best tannin stain blocker and will out perform conventional water & oil based primers. Some stains may require two coats.(ideal for timbers such as Cedar & Totara) On concrete, masonry, plaster & brick Bond’n Block will give a good base coat with superb adhesion. Please note oncrete, mortar and cement plaster must be fully cured prior to use. Bond’n Block will block mould & mildew from growing through the paint. The surface should be treated first a mould treatment. Coverage: 9-14 Sq metres per Litre (per coat) depending on porosity & texture of surface. Dry time: 30 minutes Re-Coat: 1-2 hours (depends on humidity & temperature) Thinning: Not recommended Clean-up: Warm soapy water Storage & surface temperature: Do not store or apply if lower than 10ºC or above 35 ºC
