After travelling the length and breadth of New Zealand and becoming a recognisable part of the show's unique character, Betty was due for a refresh before the filming of Season Two.

That's where the team at Retro Custom Caravans came in.

Known for their passion and expertise in restoring classic caravans, Retro Custom Caravans recently undertook a makeover of Betty, preparing her for Season Two of Off The Grid with Colin and Manu which sees Manu and Colin exploring the stunning landscapes of the South Island.

To achieve a quality finish worthy of a TV star, Retro Custom Caravans used Concept Paints along with a range of solvents and consumables supplied by the friendly team at Versatile Paints & Adhesives. Combining trusted products with skilled craftsmanship ensured Betty was ready to hit the road looking her best.

The makeover has breathed new life into this much-loved caravan while preserving the retro charm that viewers have come to know and love. From careful preparation through to the final finish, the project showcases the attention to detail and dedication that Retro Custom Caravans bring to every restoration.
